When Burnt Sugar owner Kathy Faulk stated selling off the store's charming, shabby-chic furniture last fall, we worried our favorite Fremont handbag-dishware-jewelry-cards-shampoo-candles-makeup and gift shop might be closing down.
Luckily, she was just clearing space for even more lustworthy goods: quirky, European-inspired Camper, Fraco Sarto, Puma and Gola shoes for her now-defunct nearby store, Frankie.

"It's kind of general store for girls," is how one employee describes BURNT SUGAR. Well known for its handbags and fantastic cosmetics bar, there are also plenty of sweet accents for the home, ranging from McCoy antique pottery to reproductions to a combination of both, such as antique china plates settled atop new bases to create a stand worthy of holding a tasty pastry.
