Our Seattle Neighborhood: Fremont

Fremont was annexed by Seattle in 1891, but, as the self-proclaimed center of the universe, we are still a pretty independent, free-thinking place. We are home to a 16-foot tall statue of Lenin, a larger-than-life bridge troll, and the annual Fremont Solstice Fair (complete with 1,500 naked bicyclists).  We are situated in the middle of this with a 53-foot tall cold war era rocket fuselage on our roof and a store filled with pretty things and awesome shoes.
